Bilar (Bohol) Fun Ride, Fun Race

Seventy-five mountainbike enthusiasts from 10 bike clubs fought for various awards in five categories in the Bilar Fun Ride, Fun Race on May 16, 2009 organized by the Sandugo Cycling Ventures.

The mountainbike race covered a 16-kilometer road and off-road race course starting from the scenic man-made forest at the Bilar-Loboc Boundary and ended at the Bilar Public Market. A large crowd cheered the riders who finished the race.

On hand to give the awards were Provincial Board Member Azon Galbreath, Mayor Fanuel Cadelenia, Vice Mayor Tata Palacio and Punong Barangay Dioscoro Ancog of Barangay Poblacion.
Joseph Rabida of Garcia-Hernandez won the top prize in the Open category with Roger Torreon of Talibon and Gabriel Nolasco of Tagbilaran City taking the Second and Third places respectively.
Completing the list of winners are:

Junior Category: First place – Victor Biongcog (Dagohoy); Second place – Kenneth Dapar (Batuan); Third place – Nicho Lumay (Batuan).

Senior Category: First place – Ben Olarita (Dagohoy); Second place – Adrian Arcamo (Tagbilaran City); Third place – Freddie Perez (Getafe);
Executive: First place – Marvin Mariano (Tagbilaran City); Second Place- Rey Bamboa (Baclayon);

Third place – Clark Pumares (Tagbilaran City);
Veterans: First place – Antonio Beronio (Duero); Second place – Jess Flores (Manila); Third place – Pablo Ancog (Batuan).

The race was sponsored by Tabel Enterprises, Bohol Bikes and Shop, Dadz Shell Super Service Station and Board Member Azon Galbreath.

Also supporting the event were Mayor Fanuel Cadelenia, Camille Bakeshop, Loboc Tour Park, Bilar Catholic Parish, Logarita Spring Mineral Water and Gela Abaya. (Judito Cabusao)
