Leonard Foley, O.F.M.
"I always go home," writes Foley, "because I belong there. I go to Mass because I belong there. I am a member of the Body of Christ. Even if I'm only a finger, or an eye, the Body needs what I can contribute—presence, prayer, loyalty, perseverance, humor, encouragement, kindness—myself." The Mass brings together not perfectly formed saints but rather sinners struggling to open up a larger space in their lives for God's light, love and transforming grace.
How about you?
There is beauty in the Eucharistic Mass.
That tho we may fail at times, are erring in many ways, yet the Lord is there for us to turn to Him when we need Him. It teaches one a lesson of the importance of Christ's enduring Love for us. That He is there for us..no matter what. So long as we believe in Him and turn to Him..especially in our most difficult and hardest of times.
When the priest says to me after the sacrament of reconciliation, "Then I pardon you of all your sins in the Name of the Father , The Son and the Holy Spirit..."
I feel much lighter within myself. As if a huge burden was taken of my shoulders. Truly.
