Dani, adds her own personal testimony.
Blessed!

At a former place of employ, there was a young lady who was living in despondency but holding her own as best she could. I struck up a friendship with her, and one evening it got particularly bad. After our phone conversation with her down in the pits, I was praying for her, and was reading my Bible (shiny new one, my only Christmas present the year before I had bought for myself when all he** broke loose in my personal life).
The following conversation is paraphrased as best as I remember.
So I'm in prayer for her, and Holy Spirit says "Give her your Bible."
"Excuse me? Surely You don't mean my shiny new Bible!" (and here you thought I'm so humble and broken that I never question God ... I wish.)
"Yes, that's the one. Give it to her. You'll still have your old one."
"But ... it's my only Christmas present. I love my Bible and I can't afford to replace it!" (as if He didn't know)
"She needs something tangible to remind her that somebody loves her, and that I love her. Give it to her."
So the next day I get myself dressed and drive to work, Bible with me. Had written a little note for her in it and officially "signed it over" to her. Call her outside, and give her the Bible and tell her that I love her and that God loves her and that it was hers to keep. She break down in tears. She can't believe it. I break down in tears. I can't believe it either. And, I feel quite ashamed about my earlier reluctance.
Yes, when He speaks, we ought to listen. Always.http://bibleforums.org/showthread.php?207233-When-the-Holy-Spirit-SpeaksLinkback:
