Ah both places, jud, pero it is in Rome/Vatican where His Holiness, Pope Peter the Great, built the Holy Catholic Church, pre.
Miracle jud na oi..kai imagine ka...si Jesus Christ was crucified by the Romans...the pagan romans. And si Peter, after namatay si Lord Jesus Christ, ning adto siya sa Rome. He went to the very city, the capital of the greatest empire in the west--and a pagan empire at that. Na crucified daghang ang christiano didto..by the thousands by the Emperors...but in 100-150 years, Christianity blossomed in that city. In 2 centuries, the very faith that was attacked by the romans took over the city..when Emperor Constantine himself said he saw a cross in the battle field...and had a premonition that God was with him. He won the battle where he saw the cross--and immediately after that, he declared Christianity the state religion of the Roman Empire.
Like a blossoming flower...you know. The Roman Empire was conquored by christianity not by the sword...but by the miraculous power of faith...and in GOD. That is why we visit Rome and Vatican, bcuz it is the place where Saint Peter died...
Luuy jud ang story ni peter...you know. When he was caught by Nero's forces...he was preaching the gospel in the catacombs of Rome...and when the romans sentenced him to death by crucifix, ning ingoon si Peter to the Romans:
"Please, crucify me upside down, for I am not worthy to die as the same manner as my Lord, Christ Jesus."
...Blessed jud na si St. Peter. Ning ingoon gud si Jesus nija, "You are Peter, and upon this rock i will build my church." And it was so! Blessed is the Lord oi. Ning build jud ang Catholic church--and it spread to all corners of the world. Europe, Africa, North America, South America, Asia (esp. sa pilipinas, the only catholic/christian nation in asia). What the Lord said to Peter...came true. And blessed jud na who maintains his/her faith oi.
Amen
