Special Prayer for Protection for Fr Chic and New Orleans

Prayer to Mitigate Natural Disasters
 
God the Father,
we join together in prayer and
petition heaven for divine intervention
to mitigate [Hurricane Isaac] and natural disasters.
 
We invoke the powerful name of Jesus
to calm the storms of time
and to bring forth a millennium
of peace and tranquility.
 
We pray to the Virgin Mary
to intercede on behalf of humanity
for God's hand of mercy to bless us
with Divine protection.
 
We ask this and thank Thee
in the name of Jesus.  Amen.

NEW ORLEANS (Reuters) - Hurricane Isaac dumped heavy rains on the U.S. Gulf Coast and caused widespread flooding on Wednesday, but elaborate defenses built to protect New Orleans after the 2005 Hurricane Katrina disaster withstood the onslaught, officials said.

The massive cyclone, which weakened to a tropical storm on Wednesday afternoon as it moved slowly into Louisiana, pushed water over a levy on the outskirts of New Orleans and threatened to flood oil refineries and towns in the state and neighboring Mississippi.

But fears of a repeat of the catastrophe of Katrina that swamped large parts of New Orleans exactly seven years ago and killed 1,800 people, did not materialize and there were no immediate reports of injuries or deaths. -- http://www.reuters.com/

thanks, hof.  nothing can beat prayers, in my experience.  when all else fails, prayers keep us going kay maoy di makabuang, di ba?  that's why i always make as part of my day reading/praying your minute meditations.  as for those saints, goodness me, kadaghan ba diay nakog wa pa mailhi.  kadaghan ba diay nila.  how nice to know that, thanks to you.

di lalim ning magpaabot ug bagyo.  magbagyo sad atong tiyan.  so i thought of fr chic; louisiana is fr chic as fr chic is louisiana and cogon...
