A Prayer Before the Blessed Sacrament
for the Increase of Priestly and Religious Vocations

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Eternal Father,
Son of the Virgin Mary,
we thank you for offering your life in sacrifice on
the Cross, and for renewing this sacrifice
in every Mass celebrated throughout the world.

In the Power of the Holy Spirit
we adore you and proclaim
your living presence in the Eucharist.
We desire to imitate the love you show us
in your death and resurrection,
by loving and serving one another.

We ask you to call many young people to religious
life, and to provide the holy and generous priests
that are so needed in you Church today.
Lord Jesus, hear our prayer.

Amen.

My friend JR Louvre, a graduate of Allegheny College c/o 2009 (a classmate of my sister) has told me that he will enter the Seminary in Pittsburgh to begin his path towards priesthood.

God Bless Him.

For being able to answer God's call. And to make that decision.

Please keep in your prayers for my friend, Mr. JR Louvre, who will begin the seminary this fall 2009. Please also keep in your prayers for more men to answer the call of the priesthood. To do the WILL of Jesus Christ The Savior. To spread HIS DIVINE WORD.

I pray in the name of Jesus Christ.

Prayer by: St. Therese Lisieux

O Jesus, eternal Priest,
keep your priests within the shelter of Your Sacred Heart,
where none may touch them.

Keep unstained their anointed hands,
which daily touch Your Sacred Body.

Keep unsullied their lips,
daily purpled with your Precious Blood.

Keep pure and unearthly their hearts,
sealed with the sublime mark of the priesthood.

Let Your holy love surround them and
shield them from the world's contagion.

Bless their labors with abundant fruit and
