Dangerous Freedom
« on: July 05, 2009, 10:20:52 AM »
Freedom is dangerous in the hands of those who don’t know how to use it. That’s why criminals are confined in prisons with barbed wire, steel bars, and concrete barriers. Or consider a campfire that is allowed to spread in a dry forest. It quickly becomes a blazing inferno. Unchecked freedom can create chaos.

Nowhere is this more evident than in the Christian life. Believers are free from the law’s curse, its penalty, and its guilt-producing power. Fear, anxiety, and guilt are replaced by peace, forgiveness, and liberty. Who could be more free than one who is free in the depths of his soul? But here is where we often fail. We use freedom’s luxury to live selfishly, or we claim ownership of what God has merely entrusted to us. We slip into patterns of self-indulgent living, especially in affluent societies.

The proper use of freedom is “faith working through love” to serve one another (Gal. 5:6,13). When we rely on the Spirit and expend our energies on loving God and helping others, the destructive works of the flesh will be restrained by God (vv.16-21). So let’s always use our liberty to build up, not to tear down.

Like a raging fire, freedom without limits is dangerous. But when controlled, it is a blessing to all.  — Dennis J. De Haan

Christ came to give us liberty
By dying in our place;
Now with new freedom we are bound
To share His love and grace. —D. De Haan

Freedom doesn’t give us the right to do what we please, but to do what pleases God.

Its true, not all freedom that is given can make you happy but instead it will lead you to longsuferring & loneliness if you abuse freedom.Freedom was given for us to start a new life and live a life to please Jesus Christ because that is the only reason why we are being set free.To glorify the name of the Lord, the King of Kings.

Excessive Freedom leads to Rebellion.

We are reminded that the spirit of rebellion is the sentiment of antagonism towards Order.

God is a God of Order. Divine Providence organized the heavens and the galaxies, and from chaos put order into things. Formed light from darkness.

The spirit of rebellion and hostility is not from the Father, but of the Devil Satan.

Who is the great protester. Who protested and declared war on the The Throne of the Most High God.

Remember that. That scheming devil..
May the Lord God Rebuke him.

As a sinner who is saved by Christ, I give my own testament in regards to this message:

We rebel in our own way, either it be rebelling to the plans and words of our parents. Our mothers and fathers. I know that all of us are guilty of this in our own way. During our adolescent years, or even in the present. For our moments when we rebel to our parents even though, though we known in the deep core of our being, that their preference and request is correct and we, in err, we still do it anway.

And only, only do we know of our own mistakes after the fact.

So you see---brethren, that is an example of rebellion that comes from internal discourse. Its the same, when we break the Laws that God requires us to complete, that he demands us to honor. For it was written and spoken of His own hand and mouth!

For who has the right to question the Laws of the Most High?

Has he not shown us his undying and imcomparable love? By sending His only Begotten Son, Our Savior Lord, Jesus Christ?

So let us, put away our rebellious nature.
Try--truly do try--in ceasing the rebellion against God.

Begone Satan!
IN JESUS CHRIST's Name!
I command you, BEGONE!

:)
