In the darkness of night,
called and instilled with the Spirit of God,
I drive to the Basilica,
As I open the doors of the Church,
empty.
The candles and incense lit before the Tabernacle,
The Blessed Word Made Flesh,
Set before me
Receives me.
In the deadness of night,
My Lord who Lives in the Blessed Eucharist
In His Risen Glory,
Prepared to offer sacrifice,
For the salvation of my sin
for our sins
for our eternal salvation.
In silence,
In privacy,
clothed with the empty dark of the night,
the light of Christ shines forth.
The Holy Tabernacle holding His Blessed Bread and Body.
I kneel,
And His spirit covers me,
powerful
Powerful
Indescribable
Unchangeable
Uncomparable feeling.
In silence I come
In silence He comforts me
In silence He covers me
In silence He empowers me
In silence He moves me
Who else can compare?
To your righteous Grace, Lord?
Who can boast such authority--you who created the very stars,
the very moons,
you who taught the sun to shine
you who directs thunderbolts to its destination
you who commands the bud to bloom after winter's cold slumber?
you who commands kings, paupers, men and women to birth and to death?
you WHO WAS WHO IS AND WHO WILL ALWAYS BE.
My Eternal One Living God.
NO ONE CAN COMPARE TO YOU.
My lips are unworthy,
to proclaim your praise.
But I proclaim Glory, Honor, Praise to your Name. Nonetheless.
For my soul--that you gave me--declares it so.
For you are my...BEAUTIFUL JESUS...MY ALL IN ALL.
