In my 23 years here in this green Earth,
I have noticed one thing.
From reading the histories,
from analyzing peoples,
from searching Scripture
and from listening intently to many holy men:
be they ministers, priests, deacons, preachers, theologians, fellow intellectuals,
One thing I realize is this solid basis:
1. Man yearns to grow independent, as he progresses through the epochs
2. Man has conquored and mastered space, flight, has touched the heavens,
3. Man has mastered the atom, searched it, planned it, harnested its power
4. Man has warred with itself, for domination in the earth.
Yet, even in the grandest of accomplishments of mankind, in the end,
in the ending days of all men, man still cries for fear of death, for fear of the total 'end.'
That even in now, in this modern of epochs, the age of science,
still it is within the breadth of man--to prostrate himself to The God that created him.
That in greatest of peril, and in time of need, man--as graced as he is with the intellect and ability that the Lord God gave him--still calls to The Lord God.
All confidence is destroyed and unraveled when given such a position,
that when man's power and ability cannot help him,
when science fails
when machinery fails,
when theories and postulates offer no consolation,
when the atomic power cannot even touch deep into the heart of man,
in the end---it is the Lord Our God--that is the answer to man's prayers. Need.
In the end, man reverts---looks back to the TRUTH. And sees it.
Unfortunately tho, this is only seen in our weakest moments.
We should make it our effort to do so even in our greatest moments.
----
As it is Said:"But He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong." -
