February 2, 2010 - WHAT IF GOD...

Ganon kasi kita kamahal! ayaw mo pa ring maniwala?

Haaay! remember this, kahit singit lang ako lagi sa buhay mo, kahit biglaan mo lang na natatawag ako dahil nagulat ka, nasaktan ka, nauntog ka o dahil part ang pangalan ko nung binabasa mo sa text, you will be in my heart always... trial after trial isipin mo kasama mo ako na lumalakad, hindi man sa buhangin, kasama mo pa rin ako... sa lahat ng plano mo, kahit hindi mo ako kasama perfecting it... para mas maging masaya ka... minsan tayo naman ang mag-usap ha? minsan ako naman ang dalawin mo...  miss na talaga kita eh...

sa akin hindi ka singit lang..." God

I KNOW YOU WILL RESPOND!

What if God couldn't take the time to bless us today because we couldn't take the time to thank Him yesterday?
What if God decided to stop leading us tomorrow because we didn't follow Him today?
What if we never saw another flower bloom because we grumbled when God sent the Rain?
What if God didn't walk with us today because we failed to recognize it as His day?
What if God took away the Bible tomorrow because we would not read it today?
What if God took away His message because we failed to listen to the messenger?

THINK ABOUT THIS ONE........

What if God didn't send His only begotten Son because He wanted us to be prepared to pay the price for sin.
What if the door of the church was closed because we did not open the door of our heart?
What if God stopped loving and caring for us because we failed to love and care for others?
What if God would not hear us today because we would not listen to Him?
What if God answered our prayers the way we answer His call to service?
What if God met our needs the way we give Him our lives???

February 3, 2010 - BE HONEST WITH YOUR FINANCES

God's Provision: Maintain Integrity

God cares about honesty in the workplace; your business is his business. Proverbs 16:11

God promises to meet all your financial needs, if you (1) ask him for help; (2) learn to be content; (3) practice giving in faith; and (4)  maintain your integrity --

God doesn't bless dishonesty. Proverbs 16:11 says, "The Lord demands fairness in every business deal." That includes wages, sales and taxes.

If you want God's blessing on your finances, you've got to be honest. You  can't rip people off. Profit made dishonestly always brings trouble.   Always.

"The blessing of the Lord brings wealth and he adds no trouble to it."     (Proverbs 10:22)  Have you ever known anybody who made money, and it just brought trouble? You will always reap what you sow. If you are dishonest with others, it will be returned to you. If you think you haven't been caught, understand that the clock is still ticking. You cannot mock God and get away with it.

Be honest. Be honest with your finances: "It is the Lord's blessing that makes you wealthy." (Proverbs 10:22)

February 4, 2010 - TRUST IN THE LORD

TRUST IN THE LORD, AND DO GOOD; DWELL IN THE LAND, AND FEED ON HIS FAITHFULNESS.  ( PSALM 37:3)

When you find yourself faced with a problem, place it in God's capable hands by asking Him in prayer to handle it for you!  Then, whatever you do, try not to hold on to a little corner of it and pull it back again.  For when you put your trust in God, He will lead your way!  After all are we to; LIVE BY FAITH, NOT BY SIGHT anyway.  ( 2 CORINTHIANS 5:7 )

Remember that our Savior Jesus Christ said; "DO NOT LET YOUR HEARTS BE TROUBLED.  TRUST IN GOD;  TRUST ALSO IN ME."  ( JOHN 14:1 )  So, TRUST IN HIM AT ALL TIMES, O PEOPLE; POUR OUT YOUR HEARTS TO  HIM, FOR GOD IS OUR REFUGE. ( PSALM 62:8 )

Therefore, always put all your: TRUST IN HIM AT ALL TIMES, (PSALM 62:8) for it is also written;  BLESSED IS THE MAN WHO MAKES THE  LORD HIS  TRUST.  ( PSALM 40:4 )

NOW TO HIM WHO IS ABLE TO DO IMMEASURABLY MORE THAN WE ASK OR IMAGINE, ACCORDING TO THE  POWER THAT IS AT WORK WITHIN US, TO HIM BE GLORY IN THE CHURCH AND IN JESUS CHRIST THROUGHOUT ALL GENERATIONS, FOR EVER AND EVER!  AMEN.  ( EPHESIANS 3:20-21 )

February 5, 2010 - WILL - ALL - NEED

God's Financial Provision - Ask Him for Help

You can be sure that God will take care of everything you need, his generosity exceeding even yours in the glory that pours from Jesus.   Philippians 4:19

There is an amazing, incredible and all-encompassing promise in Philippians 4:19 regarding provision: "... God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus."

Note the first two words: "God will ...." It doesn't say, "He might meet your needs," it says, "He will meet your needs." It's written as a fact;   God is staking his character and his reputation on it.

Then the Bible says, "God will meet all. ..." It doesn't say, "I'll meet some of your needs." It says all.

Now, understand that it doesn't say, "I'll meet all your greeds." There's  a big difference between needs and wants. As a parent, do you give your kids everything they want? I hope you don't. You don't do that because you love them. And your heavenly Father loves you. He's not going to give you everything you want because if he did, you'd be spoiled to death.

He won't give us everything we want, but he will give us what we need. Then why do you have financial needs? Did God fail? Did he lie? Exaggerate?

No! With every promise, there is a premise; there are conditions and requirements. When God makes a promise, he says, "I'll do my part and you do your part." God's wisdom, his financial principles are clearly laid out for us in his Word. Although the Bible discusses many aspects of financial health, including principles of saving, spending, giving, investing and stewardship, over the next few days we're going to look at five specific conditions for financial stability.

First, ask for his help - Jesus says, "Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy." (John 16:24)  Here's a good   rule: Before you pay for it, pray for it. Give God a chance to provide before you go out and charge it. You probably depend more on your charge card than you do Jesus Christ.

Why does God want me to ask? So he can give.
Why does he want to give? So I can receive.
Why does he want me to receive? So I'll be full of joy.
Why does he want me to be full of joy? It's a great advertisement for Jesus Christ. Joyful Christians are a positive testimony

February 8, 2010 - THANK YOU

DEAR GOD:

I want to thank You for what you have already done.

I am not going to wait until I see results or receive rewards; I am thanking you right now.
I am not going to wait until I feel better or things look better; I am thanking you right now.
I am not going to wait until people say they are sorry or until they stop talking about me; I am thanking you right now...
I am not going to wait until the pain in my body disappears ; I am thanking you right now..
I am not going to wait until my financial situation improves; I am thanking you right now.
I am not going to wait until the children are asleep and the house is quiet; I am thanking you right now.
I am not going to wait until I get promoted at work or until I get the job; I am thanking you right now.
I am not going to wait until I understand every experience in my life that has caused me pain or grief; I am thanking you right now.
I am not going to wait until the journey gets easier or the challenges are removed; I am thanking you right now.

I am thanking you because I am alive.
I am thanking you because I made it  through the day's difficulties.
I am thanking you because I have walked around the obstacles.
I am thanking you because I have the ability and the opportunity to do more and do better.
I'm thanking you because FATHER, YOU haven't given up on me.

God is just so good, and he's good all the time

THE CHOICE OF PATHS IN A PERSON'S LIFE

Choosing the road - symbolizes any choice we must make between altenatives that appear equally attractive but lead to entirely different destinations.

Life offers us many "alternatives that are equally attractive....." but it's still up to us to make a choice. The path we take, our vocation and profession we follow, the lifestyle we live, the career we pursue, the dreams we realize, and the relationships we establish, all depends on our choice.

Whatever decisions we make, whatever choices we take, consequences are always there. Each choice leads to a definite destination.

In our journey, we must be aware and be warned of the dreadful consequences to a person who causes us or lead us to fall. We may not judge these people but we should not also be blinded about their wrongdoings. If possible correct them and help them. When they repent, forgive them. Let us not will lead others astray. Let's not be a bad influence to others. Let's not hate or retaliate .

To do good, to love, and even to forgive is a matter of choice. They are decisions that we have to make. With our path, may we choose to live a fulfilling, meaningful and abundant life.

Let's remember that: Our life is not made by the dreams we dream......but by the choices we make!

February 9, 2010 - SELF CONTROL

Developing Biblical Self-Control

A person without self-control is like a city with broken-down walls.     Proverbs 25:28

People with self-control master their moods. They do not let their moods master them. Most of what gets done in the world is accomplished by people who do the right thing even when they don't feel like it: "A person without self-control is like a city with broken-down walls." (Proverbs 25:28)

People with self-control watch their words. They put their minds in gear before opening their mouths: "Be careful with what you say and protect your life. A careless talker destroys himself." (Proverbs 13:3)

People with self-control restrain their reactions. How much can you take before you lose your cool? "If you are sensible, you will control your temper. When someone wrongs you, it is a great virtue to ignore it."   (Proverbs 19:11)

People with self-control stick to their schedule. If you don't determine how you will spend your time, then others will decide for you: "Be very careful, then, how you live--not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil." (Ephesians 5:15-16)

People with self-control manage their money. They learn to live on less than what they make and they invest the difference. The value of a budget  is that it tells your money where you want it to go rather than wondering where it went!   "In the house of the wise are stores of choice food and oil, but a foolish man devours all he has." (Proverbs 21:20)

People with self-control maintain their health. That way they can accomplish more and enjoy their achievements: "Learn to appreciate and give dignity to your body ...." (1 Thessalonians 4:4)

In what areas do you need to develop for self-control? The disciplines you establish today will determine your success tomorrow.

But it takes more than just willpower for lasting self-control. It takes a power greater than yourself: "For the Spirit that God has given us does not make us timid; instead, his Spirit fills us with power, love, and self-control." (2 Timothy 1:7)

February 10, 2010 - HABITS AND CHARACTER

Your Habits Define Your Character

Practice these things. Devote your life to them so that everyone can see your progress. 1 Timothy 4:15

While you were given a brand new nature at the moment of conversion, you still have old habits, patterns, and practices that need to be removed and replaced.

Let go of the fears that keep you from growing -- The truth will set us free but it often makes us miserable first. The fear of what we might discover if we honestly faced our character defects keeps us living in the prison of denial. Only as God is allowed to shine the light of his truth on our faults, failures, and hang-ups can we begin to work on them. This is why you cannot grow without a humble, teachable attitude.

Stop basing your identity around your 'defects' -- We say, "It's just like me to be ..." and "It's just the way I am." The unconscious worry is that  if I let go of my habit, my hurt, or my hang-up, who will I be? This fear can definitely slow down your growth.

As I wrote recently, good habits take time to develop. Remember that your character is the sum total of your habits. You can't claim to be kind unless you are habitually kind you show kindness without even thinking about it. You can't claim to have integrity unless it is your habit to always be honest. A husband who is faithful to his wife most of the time
is not faithful at all! Your habits define your character.

There is only one way to develop the habits of Christlike character: You must practice them and that takes time! There are no instant habits. Paul urged Timothy, "Practice these things. Devote your life to them so that everyone can see your progress." (1 Timothy 4:15)

February 11, 2010 - FORGIVE

For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. (Matthew 6.14)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The person who knows he or she has been redeemed by the generosity of God is able to be generous toward others.

Jesus told a parable about a king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. A servant who owed the king about a million dollars was brought to him. Since the servant was not able to repay such a vast sum, the master ordered that the servant and his wife and his children and all that he had be sold to repay the debt. The servant fell on his knees before his master. "Be patient with me," he begged, "and I will pay back everything."

The servant's master took pity on him, canceled the debt and let him go. But when that servant went out, he found one of his fellow servants. This second fellow owed HIM about a hundred dollars. He grabbed his fellow servant and began to choke him. "Pay back what you owe me!" he demanded. His fellow servant fell to his knees and begged him, "Be patient with me, and I will pay you back." But he refused. Instead, he had the man thrown into prison until he could pay the debt.

When the other servants saw what had happened, they were greatly distressed and went and told their master everything that had happened. Then the master called the servant in. "You wicked servant," he said, "I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to. Shouldn't you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?" And the answer, of course, is yes. He should forgive as he had been forgiven. And that is where you and I are today. "Heaven," as Mark Twain said, "goes by favor. If it went by merit, you would stay out, and your dog would go in."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lord Jesus, may I forgive as you have forgiven me. Thanks for your blessing. Amen.

February 12, 2010 - BEST SEAT

Then Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid; from now on you will be catching people. (Luke 5.10)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When we read the Gospels, we discover that the disciples found the best seat in the house by choosing to accept the challenge of Jesus to invest their lives in others. Remember how Jesus came into the marketplace at the docks? There he found some commercial fishermen. He asked them to allow him to use one of their boats as a teaching platform.

After he finished teaching the people, he gave them an invitation: "Follow me and I will make you fishers of men." He was asking them to give up their seats in their fishing boats for something better, something more lasting, to invest their lives in others. (Luke 5:1-13).

Will you accept the invitation?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear God, show me the way to the best seat that you have reserved for me. Amen.

February 15, 2010 - CONFORMED

And it is by God’s will that we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. (Hebrews 10.10)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When an athlete comes off the field and says, "God gave us the victory tonight," we hope he or she is saying, "I thank God who gave me a good body so I can play at my best; I thank God for my good mind that allowed me to play alert and with awareness; I thank God for giving me the hunger to always be at my best." If that is what the athlete is saying, then I want to say, "You are absolutely right. Thank God for all God's good gifts."

But if that athlete is saying God literally guided the football through the uprights for the winning field goal so that one team would win and the other lose, that man has a lot to learn about life and about God.

God is not our personal weather expert, football strategist, romance matchmaker, or rectifier of our past mistakes. God is God. God is our Sovereign, not our servant. It is we who are to bring our actions into conformance with God's will, not God who is to bring God's actions into conformance with our will. It is very human when something is very important to us to assume it is also very important to God like making sure our team wins.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Jesus, may my will be conformed to yours. Amen.

  Which one will you choose?

On the table side by side,
the Holy Bible and the TV guide.

One is well worn but cherished with pride,
not the Bible, the TV guide.
One is used daily to help them decide;
no, it isn't the Bible, it's the TV guide.

As pages are turned, what shall we see?
It doesn't matter, turn on the TV.
Confusion reigns; they can't all agree
on what they should watch on the old TV.

So, they open the book in which they confide;
no, not the Bible, the TV guide.
The word of God is seldom read,
maybe a verse as they fall into bed.

Exhausted and sleepy, and as tired as can be,
not from reading the Bible, but from watching TV.
So then back to the table side by side,
the Holy Bible and the TV guide.

No time for prayer, no time for the Word;
the plan of salvation is seldom heard.
Yet, forgiveness of sins, so full and so free,
is found in the Bible, not on TV.

February 17, 2010 - FRESH INSIGHTS

Developing Your Creativity

Wise men and women are always learning, always listening for fresh insights.        (Proverbs 18:15)

Over the years, I've noticed when people are stuck in life, it's usually because they're still working off a set of assumptions that no longer  apply.  Or they're using problem solving techniques that once worked, but  don't work anymore.

God wants us to always be learning, "always listening for fresh insights."  (Proverbs 18:15)

Contrary to popular belief, there is nothing mysterious about being creative. The basic principle of creativity is simply combining two or  more known ideas in a new way to create a fresh idea.  This is a skill you can develop and it starts with awareness:

Here are the five steps I use in the creative process:
1. State the problem clearly. What is wrong? Be as precise as you can.  Vague problems are more difficult to solve.
2. Set a specific goal. What is it that you really want to accomplish?
3. Generate as many ideas as possible. The more ideas you have, the better. Force yourself to list at least 5 options. Brainstorm. Have fun. Use your intuition. Ask a lot of questions.
4. Narrow the list to the one best idea. One new idea is all you need to get unstuck.
5. Take action! Do it now. God has given you fresh insight, now act on it!

You must always be developing and growing and becoming what God wants you to be. Learning to be a leader takes a lifetime.
