Robert Horry has more career NBA championships than any player since the NBA/ABA merger in 1976. (7 rings) 🏆
Only six players are ahead of him, all of whom belonged to the 1960s Celtics players who are part of the team that won 11 rings in 13 years from the late 1950s to the end of the 1960s, when there were only 8-14 teams. (The only exception is John Havliceck, who won twice in the 1970s and was named Finals MVP in one of it in the 1974 title.)
Horry played in an era where there were already 27-30 teams. He seemed to know which team to join to win it all. He never missed the playoffs in his 16-year NBA career.
But Horry is not just a scrub who is useless in the postseason runs of the teams he joined; he was one of the key players in each series he played. There were series where he didn't play much, but his number was always called to make the big shots in the most crucial scenarios of the game, earning him the nickname "BIG SHOT BOB!"
Here are Horry's most incredible clutch shots that have sealed or changed the trajectory of a playoff/finals series. All of these are a must-watch!
