Baclayon Mayor Alvin Uy vowed to solve, this year, the water supply problem in the barangays that the constituents have been suffering for many years already.
The mayor said that the operation of Payahan reservoir will solve the water supply in barangays Montaña and laya.
This year, the Municipal Development Council has allocated over P1-million worth of barangay projects including the development of a water source which got a chunk of P500 thousand.
Another project that has been allocated fund from the 20-percent Development Fund is the solid waste management and the development of potential tourist spots in the town.
Mayor Uy also considers the improvement of health services, especially that his wife is a doctor.
The Philippine National Police also got an allocation for the construction of their annex building.
Each of the 17 barangays in Baclayon got P50 thousand regardless of political affiliations of their village heads.
Uy explained that his governance does not discriminate officials affiliated with other political parties.
