What type of car do you drive?

Now that the price of gas is getting expensive do you prefer a 4 cylinder, V6 engine or a hungry V-8!

I drive a V6 Mitsubishi Montero Sport SUV.

She's a gas guzzler at 20 mpg in the highway, 18 mpg in the city. But where I'm located at, in the Snow Belt, she's perfect. Rips right through snow like knife through butter. Accelerates pretty fast, and all in all, a stable All wheel drive.

amoa Toyota Camry LE V6 2005. We use Synthetic mobile oil and Premium gas. It has 26 miles/gal
Among full tank will last about a week. Dili man mi tig gamit daily kay office sa ako banana dia raman sa among residence and I work with him, so no need of having 2 cars. So bale, kana lang daan dako nami kaayo ug savings.
Our long drive every week is about 50 miles from our house kada babysit namo sa among apo, once sometimes twice.

wa jud tay dag-anan kana klaro jud na, only those gas companies get richer.
From what I understand, there's no need for them to increase the price of gasoline.

Did you guys hear about the new Honda Civic Hybrid?

My friend just gone one; apparently it can get about 40+ miles to the gallon in the highway; and when you use the electric power, can get over 50+.

This is amazing.

Hybrid is a great car however when I was looking into buying the Toyota Highlander Limited Edition versus Toyota Highlander Hybrid Limited Edition cost more if I were to buy the Hybrid version (almost $10,000.00 more).  I couldn't justify the additional cost and it will take many years to recoup the extra cost by trying to reduce my gas usage.  I bought their competitor's car (SUV) and I drive less for gas sake!

Lifestyle does make a difference no matter what car you use.

Ya I know, it is somethin!
But what we don't know is when this car goes down, they didn't tell you what to do!
It can probably cost more than what you're trying to save for gas.

Kuya Lindy dile lang sakyanan ang gas killer pati pod ang balay.

Maka ingon ko og ngano dia mame dire namuyo?

Akung banana's sakyanan Ford Explorer V8 (SUV) mag tubil once a week.

Akung sakyanan Chevrolet Avalance V8 mag tubil once a week sakit sa bulsa og mag fulltank.

Among heating oil 250 to 300 galloon every month sa tag $3.20 a galloon.
Mahal dire ang gas bisan dia dire ang refinary.

Daku pa ang mabayaran sa fuels kada bulan kay sa pag kaon nga among gipalit.
Long distance pa sa Bohol na kuhaan jod ang pang gasolina.Hahhahaa

'te Belle. You are right, 40 is the new 30 anyways.

My mom is in her mid 40s, pero she looks like she's in her mid to late 30s.
Filipina women, in general, age really well.

When i moved to Bohol manga 6 years ago gas in America was once upon a time at a $1.53 per gallon.

My car ia a Ford Windstar V6 but it travles well now it is at the farm at moms collecting molds and wasps nests and what nots the whole time I have been here.

She may not start up right away when I do get back home and her tires might blow if I dare to roll her about one quarte inch! but she is my dreamy white and creamy looking marshmallow luxury Van back in her day! TOINKS!

Precious, the gas prices are now more than doubled compared to six years ago!  Unbelievable!

TOINKS!

I can still remember when the gas raises to 1.53, I almost cried!

hahahahahahhha

When I first came here in 2001, gas was .91 cents
 I still can't believe the prices now.

OMG, Sexy Dodong!

da Best!

ingna si Mommy Cocong, congrats!

yea, it a sleek ride. Its sensitive baya, 'te, when you sit on the driver's seat, the car calculates where your head is, and it automatically adjusts the side view mirrors according to where your head and eyes are.

When I drove it, I sometimes forget that I was driving an SUV, because is cruises so fast. You can drive up to 80 mph and think you're driving 40-50 mph because its so quiet inside.

Porsche's are definitely top rated cars, in my book. Quite expensive, but worth it if you're into the luxury interior as well as superior performance.

Dodong Insoy and Lindy dear,

Ayaw kalimti ang Theme Song sa FORD ... does this sound familiar?

the song sounded very masculine ha? and yet very sexy!

it really resembled the the FORD's pick up trucks!

How much miles do you have in yours, Raquel?

My baby has about 130k in her. She still is wild, crazy, stable, and a hungry beast.
I get about 21 mpg wen i drive in the highway; about 17-18 mpg when I drive in the city.

Yea man, I know my Mitsubishi will last a long time. My dad still drives his 1996 Toyota 4 Runner to work; it has over 300k miles in it. Runs like new.

Im hoping that my Moterosport lasts until I finish residency. And maybe I can get / treat myself to a new luxury sedan or luxury SUV.

Am looking at The Mercedes E-Class or the Range Rover SUV.
Still looking tho~

80 thousand miles naman siguro to Bran,Lilion nako ug balik unya sa garage. Nagpailang laagan jud siguro ko kay taasa na ug miles.

Accumulated in 3 years? Thats alot, Raquel. Well then again you do live in the farming region of the United States. The vast expanse of land~ Okay pa man nang 80k mileage. If you want to trade it in, I highly recommend you get a large SUV. The new Toyota Sequoia, or the Cadillac Escalade is something I highly recommend. Family-oriented, safe, large, and good looking, too! he he he!

Two sides of the coin lagi, bro. It is a gas guzzler, pero, the benefits is that it is friendly and perfect for a big family, and provides safety for people who drive alot--or in areas where it snows alot. Good investment, imho.

My parents drive a Toyota Seqouia as the family car. It is a gas guzzler, but provides excellent protection for the family. It's a V8, its also 4 wheel drive if necessary, pero safe.

You do get what you pay for.

Thank you, Bai Bedo! It was my 18th birthday present that my father bought me. It was a surprise present, as I remember going with him to Vineland Mitsubishi Motors, a Mitsubishi dealership in Southern New Jersey.

I was in my senior year of high school.

My father told me that he wanted to check some truck out; I followed him, and went with him to the dealership.
Then the car salesman talked to him and said, "so is this your son, the lucky guy?"

I was amazed. My dad was smiling. "Yes, this is him."

Then my dad took me to the side and told me that that 2003 Mitsubishi Montero Sport was "YOURS".
I lit up and smiles and grinned. I could not believe it.

We drove it home. And I have had it ever since.

I used it in high school and used it throughout college. And am using it in medical school. I will probably keep this SUV forever; it is my first car; and it has sentimental value to me. It was my father's gift/ present to me.

~~~~
I promised him that one day I would get him a Mercedes S-500 someday.
He corrected me, "Di ko ana, gusto ko Mercedes GL Series!"
hahahaha!
I love my DAD. :)
