I'm a night bird!

I guess it started when I attended night classes during high school from 5 p.m. to 9:30. Although, The World Vision supported me everything in High School, I consider myself a working student because I watch my little cousins during the day and still I make ice candy until midnight to sell at nearby sari-sari store the following day in Calceta.

So, when I went to college at PUP -Manila, I took night classes schedules because I'm used to it. I usually come home at 9:30 pm, eat, watch TV for few minutes, and study until 5 a.m. and then sleep and get up at 1 p.m. It seems like studying during the night works for me and I can easily absorb what I'm reading.

Now, I'm still a night person. Na-addict ug sige dokdok aning TB until past midnight and sometimes kaadlawon na.

I prefer to be awake at night kai maka 'overtime' ta sa studies at night or early mornings.

Give me a cup of tea or coffee, and I can stay awake for 3 days straight. Nights are my study times. Because its so quiet.

Ever since I was a child, I always admired artistic children and artistic individuals.

I have friends in college who were art majors, and during my lunch breaks, I would sit in their art rooms and just watch them draw, paint, build. It always amazed me, totally, in seeing how they can make the image of a human being, with deep eyes, noses, facial expression. They would make 'life' out of coal, chalk, or mere paint.

It is a skill that I lack and I truly, absolutely bow to people with such skill.

Bella di jud ko kaeskwela og fine arts kay its so expensive. Mao jud tawn nay reason ngano wala ko ma enroll og FineArts, jamo wawarts akong parents. And for you to become a licensed designer you've got to get the 'paper'. Pero by heart i'm an artist...magunaw man ang mundo...hehehehe

Mari, talking about art reminds me of one girl who I dated back in college several semesters ago.

Her name was Rosaline, and she was a sculpture art major. She would make bodies, or her favorite kinds of models to mold were ducks; all kinds of duck species. Sometimes she would sculpt swans.

I can still remember kissing her and holding her arm, i would feel the residues of clay and chalk still in between her fingers, and underneath her fingernails.

What a woman she was. I would sit with her at night; i would bring my books to study while she sculpted away at night.

LoL. I used to bring my pillows to her art room. I would sleep there some times because it would take her forever just to perfect a duck's head.

If I could illustrate how good she was with her artistic hands, it would be in the movie 'Ghost'.

I can still remember walking to class and noticing seeing clay marks on my shirt from the previous night.

When I have a cake to decorate, I do it at late night. Most of the time I start at 11 p.m. when all's quiet already in the neighborhood. I usually goes to bed at 3 or 4. Regular days, I sleep past midnight like 1 or 2.
