What was the biggest surprise you ever had?

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

I was in the medical library studying for our Pharmacology Midterm Exam in July at midnight, then out of no where, my friends and colleagues (Shalabh, Sidrah, Job, Thiru, Chris, Jeff and Jyothi) came in with a cake that they bought with Job with his guitar singing 'Happy Birthday'. I was surprised. They took time from their studies to do that for me...i was so happy.

Cheers to good friends and colleagues!

1st anniversary namin ni hubby as girlfriend/boyfriend. i woke up with lots of long stem roses on my bed, when i got off the bed meron din sa floor all the way sa stairs na nilakaran ko and to the kitchen and dining... i picked each of the rose. and at the doorway i found him standing with the last piece of the rose. i was on my sleepwear! but it didn't stop from hugging him and saying happy anniversary. ;) lahat pala sa house namin accomplices ;)

after wards, he gave me a scrapbook with all of our memorabilias for the past year (movie/concert tickets, receipts, cards, photos, etc.). we celebrated the day by going to mass and had dinner. we ended the night by buying his and hers watch because from that day on we decided to spend lifetime with each other. after 3 1/2 more years, he proposed (another BIG surprise) at a garden spa in tagaytay which he rented for us. at 2006, we tied the knot. ;)

Ang akoa? Sa dihang migawas ang akong only child in this world :) Naminyo kog 1993, nag miscarried akong mises 6 months after. Miscarried after 3 years later. Keep on trying, wa gyuy nabu-o with in 10 years. Abi nakog matiguwang lang ko nga walay anak. BUT year 2004 something happened, nabuntis ako mises pero after 2 months giingnan siya sa Doctor nga naay CEASE inside her (pilopyan"SPELLING") Tubes nga dako pa sa bata. Unya mi SURVIVE ang bata...She is my BIGGEST surprise :)

 Pasensya! Ta-as Ta-as ang akong SURPRISA :D

biggest surprise was being evicted sa HNU nursing department hahaha... i call it being evicted because i knew i was doing good but since i was stubborn, hard-headed and will not play by the rules, they gave me "penalty" by asking me to perform duties in the hospital for one semester and i said okay which surprised my CIs thus the only way they can get rid of me was to fail me in one of my classes in which they did and i gladly transferred to the college of commerce... i know i was a very bad student, not my brains, but my personality and my attitude.

natawa ako dun hofelina.  ;D

true story of a miracle BQN. galing talaga Lord noh? He works wonders. that's why we should cherish everything that is God-given. enjoy your blessing!

agree jorgeanna, whatever it is that you went through, meron naman magandang kapalit right? and besides, hindi ibig sabihin we don't always follow the rules eh bad na tayo. sometimes we just needed to stand up to what we believe is right and will make us happy.

I married an American national. It was a whirlwind, though hard to believe because I don’t like America to begin with (no hypocrisy here).

I was working in Congress at the time and there were pressures to work long hours especially during budget hearing. So to kill the time I started chatting in YM and met this guy. That was March 2000. By June, I was in the US for some official functions of my office, and of course, I grabbed that opportunity to meet this guy. We got married by October and the rest was history.

Well, that is is not the biggest surprise actually.  My best friend for years left the Philippines and went to California for good. After 4 years he contacted me. He told me he decided to stay in the US despite of the fact that he hated it because he got no choice. He needs a life. He said,” The day you left for the United States, that was the day I was stupid and coward for letting you go.”

I broke down and cried… That was the biggest surprise of my life that until now I am wondering how our wonderful friendship ended up because we ignored what we feel.

Too darn late!!!!!
