In college I forced myself to like Math that's why I took up Engineering but I should have taken up MassComm if I only knew then that I would be very comfortable being a Media practitioner...

Now I remember! CAT diay tuod ang pinaka-favorite nako pagaka High School. 2nd year paman diay tuod ko mi volunteer sa og CAT. Then when I was in the 4th year I became an officer. It was because of CAT that I experienced what real life was. The disparity between the classes as well as between the intellectuals and the idiots, encountering gangs (but I wasn't not a gang member though) and the joys and pains of falling in love....

Basta CAT officer bitaw ka kay nagpasabot elite ka sa class or intellectual ka. Bibo jud ang Cat labi na ug mag formation. 3rd year ko kay lagi taas taas gamay gibutang ko sa platoon alpha kasagaran kauban mga 4th year.Permi ko kaangin ug ma punish kay lagi manag ing man jud sa imong senior. Na officer pud ko sa 4th year na unya ako man siguro kina lausy han sa tanang officer ultimo pag command di ko kahimo kay perting yayaa.Enjoy ang officer ka kay murag naa kay power bitaw hahahah.
Favorite nako subject sa college economics ug computer programming.Giingnan jud ko sa akong teacher sa college wa mahaum akong kurso nga comp. sci kay murag tua man ko ing excel sa economics nga minor subject man to.

Bitaw Bibo gyud ang CAT. From the training period to the final selection of qualified officers, mingling and sometimes even flirting/hooking up with the cute officers from other school units during joint activities, the bivouacs, the promotions (from Company Commander to Battallion Commander since our school converted to a Regiment due to the size of 600+ strong cadets/cadettes). Sa college Transition period sa Philippine history tong period namo. ROTC then was changed to CMT (Citizen Military Training) so of course I took up Basic which eventually led to my joining the military service in Fort Del Pilar but somehow I guess GOD had other plans for me so I went back to being a civilian and took up BSECE. Now I am in the media. What a strange turn....

By the way Raquel, what school were you when you were a CAT Officer? It is okey with you, what batch?...

Yes it was a sad time CAT omitted and the ROTC training became optional. From that time on dramatic changes in the quality and caliber of the next generations occurred. There were more cases of gangsterism, frat-related violence, incompetent youth leaders and increased substance use and abuse and basically loss of direction. Commercialism in the boob tube gained greater influence.

i have a similar experience on social studies. in elementary, i went as far as the regional qualifying in the quiz bee (private school category) but lost to the dumaguete bet. it was the most ironic of losses, i was aiming to tie the score when i failed to answer the question on prez CPG's famous nationalist policy. the answer, of course, is 'filipino first policy'. my answer? first filipino policy TOINK!

in high school, i was the only 2nd year student in the DWC team of 4th year students who won the provincial KB quizbowl in 1984/85. i was later awarded Mr General Information in the graduation ceremony.

Naay bag-ong initiative ang gobiyerno dire Maam nga hatagan ug tagsa ka kilo nga bugas ang mga piniling day care man siguro to o elementary ba nga mga bata after class. Kini to encourage sa mga ginikanan nga dili pugngan pagpaiskuyla ang ilahang mga bata. Pero murag karon wa naman siguro ni mahitabo.
