point 1: if you say "generally", it could also mean that "specifically" selfishness may not be bad.

point 2: passion, which we often mistake for love, and one's desire for its fulfillment is what is intrinsically selfish.

point 3: if it's selfish, could it be love?

point 4: "love is not love till you give it away." is that selfish?
