as I heard one of the 20 richest people in the world 2010 invested a 5 star Hotel/ Resort in Panglao 2 yrs before. Is Fabulous Peacock Garden Resort in Panglao the one owned by him (Prince Alwaleed) of Saudi Arabia?

Is that true that 10k - 15k pesos per person per day for accommodation and food ?

Hasta ako natingala pero nasulat ni sa Arab News about 2 yrs na nga mag invest ug 5 star Hotel si Prince Waleed sa Panglao, Bohol ug sa Manila. Pero lain siguro ni kay sa Baclayon mani sya nahimotang.

Bawos2x lang ni o sa naka pabor ba: mga foreigners nanag-iya ug mga properties deri sa atoa (e.g. townhouses, etc). Unya daghan man pod mga Pinoy nanag-iyag mga properties sa laing nasud sama sa Europa ug America (beautiful houses and businesses). In other words, there's nothing new under the sun. Besides, Philippines is real cheap (for them) and exotic at the same time.

Saudi Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Alsaud has teamed up with Ayala Land to invest $150 million for a resort project in Bohol. The Saudi Prince is reportedly interested in the property of the Fonacier family, which owns the 168-room Bohol Beach Club.

Nearly half a million tourists, including about 40,000 foreign guests, visited Bohol last year, and the Department of Tourism expects this number to increase soon with the construction of more resorts and completion of vital infrastructure projects.

Bohol Congressman Edgar Chato, who chairs the House committee on tourism, said there are only 2,500 hotel and resort rooms in Bohol at present, which are not enough to accommodate the influx of visitors.
