If you could have any job in the world, which one would you want?
I don't need a job as I am at the retirable age. I need an enterprise.
Of course, a society can not survive if nobody is there to have a job of a fireman, policeman, teacher, lawyer, etc.
For me, if given a chance, I would be an Environmental - Cultural Lecturer or Teacher, teaching young kids the importance of preserving our natural resources and using it wisely. To show to the kids our age-old culture and practices, where one can survive, live happy and healthy without destructive technology. Further, I believe that poverty is the most distructive calamity. However, the answer is right below our noses and that is financial knowledge. Teach poor people and guide them the basic intrepreneurial knowledge instead of giving them alms. This is a sort of empowering them through knowledge. This is what I called enabling the poor instead of using or exploiting them.
If given a chance, I would do this job as a volunteer. Having a job does not necessarily equate with high salary. A job is a responsibility. A job is something you should be happy doing. A job is fulfilling your life's purpose. The security guard who was killed was the best example of "doing his job".
So I think of building an enterprise, finding brains to fit-in. The first step is to organize and financing should be the last thing we should think of. Like first, we have to build the engine, assemble the vehicle and the last thing to do is find a fuel. Building an enterprise is the best way we could alleviate poverty in our beloved Bohol.
Brainstorm anybody? Mike is with us and he is full of pretty good ideas.
