I want to share something with you guys, and also would like to know if you all experience the same things as I. There are times where I will dream about my deceased grandmother, and nanays. Several months ago, during the death anniversary of my lola, naka damgo ko niya. It was interesting because i can remember (in full depth) the conversation we had and even the look of lola's face in that dream. Do you all also have dreams of loved ones, friends who are no longer here?

i've made my peace with such experiences, lorenz.  which means that i've told myself never to be afraid of these experiences, especially when i hear a familiar voice that belongs to someone who is no longer in this world.  (my rule #1: i never answer verbally; the voice could belong to an elemental.  i just pray and communicate in my thoughts with the owner of that familiar voice.)

i was told years ago that my sixth sense is rather strong.  i don't like it, but i've learned to live with it.

sometimes, i ask our dear departed for guidance in certain difficult decisions.  i ask them to tell me through a dream.  when i do dream of them and i fail to get any answer (messages do come in metaphors, which i don't get all the time; sometimes, i just see them in my dreams, smiling) the first thing that comes to my mind once i wake up turns out to be the answer.

really, really interesting.  without religion, though, i wonder where this thing could have brought me.  faith is still the best answer.

Wow, thanks for sharing your personal experiences, isles. Can you ever feel the presence of things that are invisible?

As for myself, I've always had the ability to feel energy (residual vs active), however, I just try to ignore it. When I feel uncomfortable, I just recite the holy rosary (i carry a rosary in my pocket always) I just pray when I feel something , and mo subside baya.

It's good to see that there are some others that have this ability.

Last year, when I visited the grave of my lolo mariano, i lit 12 candles for the 12 years that i was unable to visit him. (the last time i was able to pay my respects to lolo mariano was in 1998 during the funeral of my lola nating). As i was lighting the 12 candles on his grave, i just wished him peace and told him that i was there , ijang apo sa sungay, ning bisita nija. wa la sija gi kalimtan nako.

As i bent to kiss his grave stone, i felt this soft force press on my right shoulder. as if someone placed a hand on my shoulder. i turned around, no one was there. peaceful kaayo ang effect tho. i don't know, who it was, but i would not be surprised if it was lolo mariano.

This is the dream I shared with my friends/relatives on Facebook last Thursday:

Niduaw nako si Meo gabii pagkatog nako. Everybody was present (Bolat, Jobarts, Yuta, Harvey, Brydon, etc) unya nihangyo si Toyem ug usa ka basong bahal. Akong gibadlong kay ingon ko, "Patay na baya ka bwaise, inom lang gehapon." Iya pong tubag kay, "Ajaw laman palag bwaise, tilaw god pod tag bahal kay mingaw na kog happenings." And we all laughed (sa damgo) like we always did we he was alive and with us!!!)...

Pagmata pod nako, I offered a few prayers for him unja nanihapon ko (kay 8PM paman diay to sa gabii). Hahahaha... just want to share you our good laugh with Meo last night. Kalooy sa Ginoo, smiling raman pod to siya ug wa man pod mohisgot nga naghuwat sijas pikas hehehe... san kaha to no?

Then the next day... I received the news that my uncle died.

Thank you for sharing that story, Father, with all of us. I could not help but shed tears in reading your posting. If i may be allowed to share my feelings on this, i think your uncle visited you, Father. It was the last message he could give you, communicating with you through a happy dream. It was his way of saying to you, "gimingaw ko nimo, ayaw ko kalimti..." The prayers you offered for them was powerful, i am sure.

Back in 1998, my Lola Babing (the younger sister of my Lola Nating) passed away on August 1998 one month after my lola nating passed in July 1998. My younger sister, Angel, had a dream about her. There were three of us: lola Babing, ako, og si angel. We were in a church. Lola was sitting in between us near the altar. She said to each of us kono, "pag buutan kamo duha" ; she then kissed both of us and gave us a hug, then afterwards she got up and walked to the altarand a big white light came , then lola was no more. My sister relayed me her dream the next day. Ning hilak kami duha.

Last year, 2010, when i went to visit bohol, i stayed in my father's house in tagbilaran. I opted to sleep in my uncle bayoy's room (Engr. Roy Rustico Lucino) who had passed away in may 2009. I was so tired from the flight from Manila to tagbilaran so i decided to take a nap. I remember that i dreamed of him. In my dream, Uncle Bayoy woke me up from my sleep , he said to me, "doy bran bran, dako naman ka kaayo doy!"

ingon ko balik, "mao lagi, uncle roy...."

he was crying. he grabbed me and gave me a big hug. we both hugged.

then i woke up.

I know that uncle bayoy came to visit me because i had not had seen him since 1998. in fact, had web cammed with him back in january 2009, some 4 months before he died. Dali kaayo to si uncle bayoy mo hilak. he was a man of very little words, but a very emotional man. he was a very loving, and kind uncle.
