For the gardners out there?
« on: August 10, 2008, 01:20:33 PM »
For those who love to garden, plant flowers; for the person who have a green thumb. What is your favorite plant (can be a fruit, vegetable, flower, etc) And why?

For flowers, I must admit the red rose takes the cake. So beautiful and it has horns to protect the coveted red flower petals. Symbolism of the perfect woman. :)

For vegetables; I like the okra. Why? Because I grow it haha; and quite delicious at that. Specially when you mix it with vinegar and soy sauce. sarap na sarap.

haha, really? Ako, i like to garden with my mom. She usually gets all of us kids to go outside and just garden; sometimes its veggies, sometimes its flowers. Best part jud is seeing a mere little seed blossom into a 5 foot green pepper plant; that or seeing your little cabbage seeds blossom into a whole column of cabbages etc.

Very soothing kaayo kaning mga gardening. It really takes stress away.

I don't know if I really do not have green thumb but looking at our garden, tomatoes are the easiest to grow. But I need other vegetables like eggplant, squash, other green veges like chard and kale so I think it's hard for me to say what's my favorite plant - vege, trees or flowers to grow.  I love flowers to beautify our lil home and vegetables for our food and to share to family and friends.  However, I am so excited about our kamunggay plant kay I haven't seen a kamunggay plant here yet and I know I can make use of it when it's mature enough to harvest.

Ang Kamunggay sa among garden, bow!

Aya san, gisa lang siboyas, kamatis ug ahos, subaki ug shrimp ba kaha or ginilang.  If shrimp, sabay na butang ang sikwa kay mag dungan ra na sila luto.  Templahi dayon, fights na.  Also, pwede pod sabaw manok or miswa or udon.

My favorite fruit has definitely got to be lemon.

After a nice hot summer day, mowing the lawn and trimming the grass. I like to grab a lemon, peel the skin off, take some salt and sprinkle each lemon piece with some salt. Enjoy each peace under the cool shade of the trees in our backyard. And sip some home-made lemonade.

Glorious. Simply Glorious.

:)
