When I went to Leyte with family this past August 4, I slept on a banig. I requested a body massage with rubbing alcohol and right afterward feel asleep. As soon as they removed the panuhot, natug dali.  :)

Humot ang banig higdaan labi na tong buli. Akong Lola kabalo to siya mohimo ug banig unya kara angat na pista maghimo siya ug daghan kay mao to iya ipabawon ug balik sa mamistahay nga gikan sa Mindanao. Gimingaw na jud ko ug banig. Wala ka pamauli Lorenzo naghigda sa hard Floor? Kato nagvisit ko sa Surigao  nakahigda mi one night sa island nahulog wala ko katulog sa  banig kay sakit kaayo akong lawas sa hard floor hehehe. Bisan pa unsaon ug bali bali perting sakita jud sa akong likod,kilid nga gipamaulan nuon ko,Ok ra ko magbanig pero dapat naay gamay cushion kay ug wala maglisod ko ug katulog na.

Ok ra sa ako ang banig kanang pino ang strand dili ko ganahan sa gama sa buli kay maka run ug t shirt..unya dili sab ko sawog mohigda kay sakit likod ,ihanig lang sa kama  ok..

I adapt easily to my environment, Raquel. Tho i have never slept on a banig (or has been 20+ years since) , i requested we stay at a relative's house in Pintuyan, Southern Leyte instead of staying at a pension house. Reason for this was there were alot of family members looking to visit and see me (likewise vice versa). I did not sleep till the wee hours of the morning (3-4 am?). My relatives and distant relatives ended up sleeping over and the whole house was filled--they all slept on the floor on banigs some of them singing and talking of yesteryears, about my paternal grandfather and his family.

I had a cousin massage me using efficasent oil & rubbing alcohol while I laid on the banig. Na tug ko dali. hehe.

Sleeping on a banig is not bad; especially if inside a payag while it rains outside...bugnaw kaayo. Matulug jud ko ana.

 :)

nahitabo sad sa akong kauban sa una taga cadiz. kani laging gamay ray kamaohan nga bisaya kay ilonggo man. wala mangutana namo nilakaw lang ug iyaha. pinasinggit pa kuno sa driver, para sa bangga lang. pwerte kunong yawyaw sa driver. ingon kuno, day kung maghikog ka ayaw lang tawn mi iapil. hahaha

hehe, lingaw-lingaw lang usa tag binasa ani nila, raqz.  klaro man ning duha nga sinimpangkong ang ilang ilonggo.  sa street language pa, trying hard.  sagolan nila usahay ug waray ug bikolano, usahay cebuano nga salot morag taga-oslob (oslob, cebu; dili oslo, norway) ;D, usahay morag martian, usahay mangimbento pa gyod ug ilaha rang mga pulong. 

hinoon, basta magkasinabot, tira 'to! 

puro ni sila cebuano/boholano ang pinulongan (ako nang gi-review ang history sa ilang posts; mirisi kong iringa ko, nihapdos hinoon akong mata) but they chose to communicate in another language nga wa pa ilhi sa tibuok kalibotan.

do i like to sleep on a banig?  opkors, basta kadiyot ra kay di na baya ta bata.  pamaolan na man tingali akong kabukogan ani, maningog unya morag crispy pata.  best is with me on the banig is our puppy mamma mia ang some of our cats.
