Hofel, i tried to follow that for a long time and yes it took me years to adopt. Honest, i have just adopted it not long ago. I was a multitask person, yes a succesful career woman but i wasnt happy. I know how you are feeling. We just cant do many things to catch up what we missed. Life or our brain is not design for that. Try to slow down enjoy what you are doing and you'll realize that "yeah, life is such a wonderful thing we have"...(mura man tv series "One Life To Live!) hahaha

I used to be a really regimented woman, working full time, but then one day , I was close to nervous breakdown, now I follow the .... hinay hinay basta kanunay.

treat each day with someone as if it's the last.
avoid doing and not being able to do things to your love ones that will make you regret.
mistake to one's self is nothing in the end. it's only you.
but mistake to a love one is painful. there will always be a feeling of heartbreaking what if's.

I try to be at peace with the Lord. Every time I say or do something hurting to people, it bothers me no end that I am actually hurting God. Having a burdened conscience is no way to live a life. And when you do something good, think about the joy our Lord is feeling.

1 Try making life different for least fortunate people in the world.Just like Mother Theresa of Calcutta said "If you can't feed hundred feed one.Everytime you send money to your love one back home include at least small amount of money for neighbors in need.Send your nieces and nephew in college if thier parents can't afford to send them.Some peso(dollars) less in your account will not make a significance difference to you but will make an infact on someone's life.This make you happy in reality knowing you made a difference.
2 Offer everything to God.I use to follow St.Therese of Lisieux rules to just be amuse of everything even if it really annoy you.Love to sacrifice.Don't complain.
3 Accept people even if they they're different.
4 Accept death.For most of us this can be scary.But it's going to happen,one day we will die.Actually for me to think about dying excites me as long as I die in state of grace.Always go on confession,try to avoid sin.Try reading religious books like saints story or the Secrets of Saints it give you idea how happy can we be in our final day knowing we will be united soon with Our Creator.

I agree with Pareng Bambi about the finity of life.

For me, one passion that I have in life that has played a substantial role in motivating me is the virtue of Learning. Learning, not only increases one's broader understanding of the world, but also of their local and immediate surroundings. Ranging from health tid-bits, to research work, to flowers and gardening, to cooking and recipes to even the 'secrets' of women, lol.

There are multiple paths to 'Learning'; it can range in a healthy-education discussion with one's fellows, reading a book, reading an article/journal, enrolling in class, etc.

From the way I look at things, all our strengths and faculties are graces and gifts that Loving Providence, All Glory and Praise Are His, has given and endowed all of us. Our limitations, are his tests.

To learn is to understand, and to understand, why that is the basic pillar in how to live. To live responsibly, with resiliency.
