hi Anne,
if you can get anywhere from 6-8 hours of sleep--then that is great. recuperative sleep man gud na. eating a breakfast is important as it starts the day (mag careful lang ta not to eat too much; i am guilty of this!). it is so important for us to be active throughout the day, especially if our work/profession is white collar and relegates us to sitting down and standing up for long duration. in my view, its okay to eat, so long as we don't starve ourselves because the moment we try to starve ourselves, we limit our metabolism and when we do try to eat alot (binge) this means our body has a reduced ability to metabolize the food consumed. this translates as adipose deposition (fat deposits). and this really sucks! big time (i know because i have this problem).
since enrolling in the gym, my trainer tells me to eat at least 5-6 times a day. but make sure to eat small each time. the key here is to keep our metabolism going. we have to be active and work out so that we burn off most of what we eat ; not to mention how exercise increases our metabolism.
its important to stay active jud; i don't eat at night anymore, anne. after 8pm i don't eat anymore. because if we eat late and then go to sleep, its very hard for our bodies to digest / metabolize that food. i try to stop eating before 8pm.
this is what ive been doing for 2 weeks now:
-wake up at 7am.
- go to the gym and work out from 7:30 - 9:00 am
-go to work/ review
-(make sure to eat throughout the day)
-i walk / jog in the late afternoon for 40 mins to 1 hour
-i stop eating by 8 pm.
the key here is to maintain an active metabolism.
===========
they time we go to sleep and the time we wake up is not necessarily important. but they key here is to make sure we don't eat exactly before we go to bed. let's say you go to bed at 1 am. that's fine. just make sure you're not eating at 11 pm or 12 am or 30 minutes before you sleep. if you go to bed at 1 am, then by 8 or 9 pm, you should not be eating anymore. ug ma gutom jud ka, just drink green tea or water.
