if there is more than insanity, i think that's what best describe a suicide bomber.
They, indeed, have a deep-seated Islamic conviction that their deaths are equated as martyrdom for Islam.
And as martyrs, believe that they gain entrance into paradise.
However, as deviated their version of Islam is, they break a major law and even a hadith written in the Q'uran (as well as in the hadiths):
“And their Lord has accepted of them and answered them, “Never will I suffer to be
lost the work of any of you, whether male or female, you are members, one of
another…” (Qur'an3:195)
and yet again,
“O you who believe! Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to God, even as against
yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, and whether it be (against) rich or poor: For
God can best protect both. Follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest you swerve, and
if you distort (justice) or decline to do justice, verily God is well-acquainted with all
that you do.” (Qur’an 4:135)
To murder, in itself, is a sin. These suicidal bombers who have a twisted conviction that by cold bloodedly killing non-muslims will gain them entrance into paradise are in for a shocker. If they believe in Allah the most merciful most beneficent most compassionate, then they must know that Allah will not let their crimes go unpunished. For is He not also merciful and compassionate to those whom were killed by a deviated religious conviction? If they read the Qur'an properly, they would know that the Al-Qitab (people of the book "christians and jews") are blessed and beloved.
tsk tsk.
A professing Al-Qitab (person of the book, "christian")
