The Japanese government will seek the conclusion of an agreement over reciprocal provision of supplies and services between
Japan's Self-Defense Forces and the South Korean military in conducting international cooperative activities, government sources said Monday.
Japanese Defense Minister Toshimi Kitazawa is expected to convey the plan to form the Acquisition and Cross-Servicing Agreement with South Korea to his counterpart Kim Kwan Jin when he visits the country from next Monday.
During the meeting, Kitazawa is also expected to confirm the need to accelerate bilateral talks to reach the General Security of Military Information Agreement, the sources said. - pna
