A bomb exploded Tuesday at an apartment building on the outskirts of Bangkok, killing at least three people, Thai police said.
"It was definitely a bomb," said national police spokesman Major General Prawut Tawornsiri.
The blast shattered windows at the residential complex in Nonthaburi Province, north of Bangkok.
The explosion came hours after Thailand extended a controversial state of emergency in Nonthaburi and three other provinces, including Bangkok, in the wake of deadly street protests and a series of grenade blasts in the capital.
