The Common Station project was originally approved by the NEDA Board in 2007, and was re-designed in 2009. For eight long years since its approval, no construction was ever made.
Until… on September 29, 2017, the groundbreaking ceremony for the project was held. This, after Sec Art Tugade successfully convinced giant conglomerates to set aside differing issues and stances, particularly on its location. Now, the project is nearing completion.
The Common Station features a 13,700-square meter concourse area which will interconnect the LRT-1, MRT-3, MRT-7, and the Metro Manila Subway. 478,000 passengers is expected to benefit from this daily.
