The BRP Gregorio Del Pilar, recently acquired from the United States in June 2011 was commisioned into the Philippine Navy on August 2011. The ship is the flagship of the Philippine Navy and the largest ship in the Philippine Fleet. The Philippine Navy is to receive a 2nd Cutter Class Ship from the United States by 2012.
