Saying "YES" When Wanting to Say "NO": How to Change and Stop Sabotaging Your Relationships

Learning to say "No" is an important step forward in improving your quality of life and relationships. Often, those who can't say "No" within a relationship (or, for that matter, with new dates even before a relationship has been formalized) are often those who can't say "No" in other situations in their lives. Regardless of the numerous reasons you might be accustomed to saying "Yes" when you rather say "No", the only effective way to begin saying "No" is by beginning saying it, standing by what you say and practicing it.

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
