Starting Points"Ignorance is preferable to error, and he is less remote from the truth who believes nothing than he who believes what is wrong." - Thomas Jefferson "In the beginning God created... and it was good," Genesis chapter one tells us. Thus speaks the starting point of the most widely read, loved, hated, controversial, history changing book ever written. Everything we believe is anchored in a starting point. From these starting points flow an ever-expanding, often changing belief system and worldview. It impacts all we do in life. For example, if we truly believe that everything God created is good, then we will see the world as inherently good. However, if our starting point shifts to the belief that humanity is inherently depraved, then our worldview dramatically shifts. How we then view ourselves and others is radically transformed and our actions along with it.
