Major Averages Cool Off As Volume Takes A DiveStocks took a small step back Monday from their six-week advance. The Nasdaq slipped from Friday's 12-year closing high, losing just 0.1%. The S&P 500 also lost 0.1%, as it backed off from a five-year high. The NYSE composite fell 0.2%. All three were off by 0.3% to 0.4% intraday.
