Can Creativity Exist Without Solitude Amongst All the Noise, Sound and Fury? Many modern day psychologists are beginning to think that creative geniuses are often less apt to flock or belong to the herd of humanity. Interestingly enough, as one who has such traits, I don't disagree. In fact, I would submit to you that the concept of "groupthink" has been completely overplayed, perhaps to help low self-esteem people feel appreciated or part of a team, having them believe that they can be involved in something great bigger than themselves, but when we really look at the mind numbing and brainwashing baloney, we see that they are spoon fed the socially acceptable answer to every problem, and then somehow believe they came up with the original idea through consensus.
