Local mangoes for export to undergo quality control
ZAMBOANGA CITY, Oct. 3, 2003 (PNA) - - With Zamboanga City fast becoming a major mango exporting city in Mindanao, there is a need to standardize the quality of the fruits being shipped out to maintain quality and protect the business. In a meeting, mango growers and exporters and the Department of Agriculture have agreed to subject all mangoes being exported from the city to undergo quarantine and quality inspections to standardize its quality.
