World class tuna to make Davao City as RP's "sashimi capital"?
DAVAO CITY, Oct. 3, 2003 (PNA) -- While General Santos City is known as the country's tuna capital, Davao City should be called as the Sashimi (exportable tuna) capital. Carlos Hagosojos, Davao Fish Port Complex manager, said Wednesday that tuna unloaded and caught here in Davao is of high quality and of significant volume compared to that in General Santos.
