COA-10 cites top performing employees
by Jorie C. Valcorza
Cagayan de Oro City (27 June 2005) -- THE Commission on Audit in Northern Mindanao recently cited a number of its employees for exemplary performance.

Awarded during COA’s anniversary celebration were the Executive and Oversight–National Government Sector (NGS) Cluster 1, Team 2 headed by Madrigal Sirad for the early transmittal of the CY 2004 Comments and Observations on the covered offices of the Presidential Management Staff, Philippine Information Agency, Philippine Regulatory Commission, and Games and Amusement Board.

Sirad also received a separate award from the Philippine Canada Local Government Support Program (LGSP) for his contribution as the auditor and adviser to the LGSP 1 in Region 10.

Sirad’s team is composed of auditors Cecilia Pragamae, Lydia Macatol, Diogracias Lopez, Elena Elango and Erminia Obsioma.
Also recognized were NGS audit team leaders Evelyn Galacio, Elvira Palamine, Helen Gaabucayan and its members, including Auditor Rosalie Pelonio of the Corporate Government Audit Sector Cluster 5 and 7 for the prompt submission of office annual audit reports of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration.

Likewise commended were Engr. Shane D. Dalman of COA’s technical services office (most outstanding employee), Esherlina Placido (model employee), auditor Carolina Diez for her support in the consolidation of the annual audit report of the National Food Authority, and state auditor Agustina Elleso and Elsa Manoto from the Corporate Government Audit Sector Cluster 5 and 6 for evaluating the performance of the audit team leaders.

Another special recognition was also given to Allan Llaneta, and more awards to the NGS Clusters 1, 2 and 3 for the quality of their audit findings.

According to COA-10, acknowledging its top performing employees is a means to boost their confidence and encourages others to follow suit, while strengthening President Arroyo’s on-going anti-graft and corruption campaign.
In this drive, the President challenges each and every public functionary to “set an example of honesty, discipline and frugality to elevate the whole moral tone of the bureaucracy in keeping with the times.” (PIA-10)

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
