CELEBRITIES LEAD OPENING
OF NEW TRAVEL AGENCY HERE
Celebrities graced the opening of the newest travel agency with myriad of ancillary services on Saturday with actress Aubrey Miles leading the way
RAMS Travel Agency located along Ma. Clara St. opened its doors to travelers in the province.
Miles graced the occasion with two other celebrities appearing in the ABS-CBN soap opera La Luna Sangre namely Ced Torrecarion and Carla Pini.
Tagbilaran branch manager John Enerio said the travel agency is Davao-based and wants to expand in theVisayas.
Aside from Tagbilaran, RAMS Travel Agency has branches in Bacolod, General Santos City, Digos, Malita, Davao Occidental, and Manila on top of two branches in Davao City.
Miles invited the Boholano public to try out the services of RAMS Travel Agency especially in its ticketing services.
Known as an FHM cover model, Miles has been in Bohol,and she loved the place for being an ideal place for the family to have a nice getaway.
Miles said she agreed to share the moment with the people of the RAMS Travel Agency since she and her husband, actor Troy Montero, love to travel a lot.
EXPANDING TO BOHOL
RAMS Travel Agency’s top honcho Mercy Lim explained the rationale for the Bohol expansion.
Being a tourist destination, it is only logical to expand into Bohol given there is a direct flight from Tagbilaran to Davao City.
Lim said she is keen on developing travel packages and promote Bohol to Davao residents, and vice versa.
She said Bohol is a tourism powerhouse withhuge potential in the travel agency industry.
She added she is planning a whole range of tourist and travel options for travelers mostly catering to corporate accounts.
She is also aiming to get government accounts as well.
OTHER SERVICES
Enerio said aside from tour packages, the travel agency will also offer several services.
Once the system is in place, RAMS Travel Agency will also offer several services such as insurance, bayad center,and other services.
The agency will handle payments for SSS, Philhealth, Pag-Ibig and other government transactions.
The bayad center will also cater for people who want to pay their postpaid bills and other payables.
Enerio also unveiled an innovation with the so-called “Fly Now Pay Later” plan. He said it is one way to give an opportunity to travelers to fly without and pay later using banking instruments.
He said it is an innovation which the travel agency brings to the table and offers to the Boholano public.
THE DAVAO CONNECTION
The direct flights to Davao have been the main reason why RAMS Travel Agency ventured into Tagbilaran.
More than that, the travel agency also banks on the opening of the new airport in Panglao.
Direct international flights are expected to come into Bohol once the new airport commences commercial operations come August.
RAMS Travel Agency is part of a bigger conglomerate based in Davao including RDL Cosmetics which has been a serious player in the dermatological treatments industry in the country.
