Archbishop Cruz confirms PGMA not "jueteng" beneficiary - Bunye
MANILA (26 June 2005) -- "The good bishop (Archbishop Oscar Cruz) has just confirmed it."
This was the statement issued by Press Secretary Ignacio Bunye after Archbishop Cruz admitted that he has no witness to directly link
President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo to the illegal gambling payoffs.
Bunye, who is also the Presidential Spokesman, also reiterated that President Arroyo never benefited from illegal gambling.
"Unfounded allegations unwittingly serve the plot to malign the President," he added. (PIA-MMIO)
