PNP fun rides for Bohol
bikers, pedal for peace
TAGBILARAN CITY, May 8, (PIA)--In the light of the province's sales pitches stressing how peaceful Bohol is, the Philippine National Police Regional Office and Camp Dagohoy officials invite bikers to a morning Ride for Peace May 9, from 5:00-8:00.
Set to pedal off from Bohol Provincial Police Office (BPPO) Headquarters in Camp Dagohoy, the ride would take riders to the 18 kilometer Panglao Central line before stopping at the Cultural Center for short program, said former police information officer and now close aide of Colonel Felipe Natividad.
Former police information Officer Jennifer Atanacio said the ride would be led by no less than PCSuperintendent Noli Taliño and PSSupt Felipe Natividad.
Signing in for the ride are police men and officers, bike club members and peace advocates, but is still open for individuals who support peace and development especially with the recent terror threats in Bohol, Atanacio said.
On Wednesday, Bohol police again organize another ride, this time 36.5 kilometers from Jagna town to Quinale Beach in Anda, Bohol.
For the Anda ride, the long ride would cap with a lecture forum on terrorism, criminality and other development threats, separate sources at the BPPO said.
Bikers, from as far as Talibon, over 50 kilometers from Jagna have shown interest in joining the event, said bike ride organizers.

The two fun rides also act as tune up rides for the longer 6th Bohol Unity Ride 2017, set May 13-14.
The ride would take the 263 kilometers Bohol belt road from Tagbilaran to Talibon via the east road and then from Talibon to Tagbilaran via Tubigon on the north road.
The Unity ride also banners ride for peace, environment and camaraderie for all bike clubs and groups here, according to TriBohol, unity ride organizers.
Recently, an incursion by the bandit group from the south prompted foreign governments to issue travel warnings for their citizens to Bohol.
While tourism stakeholders could not yet feel the impacts of the planned terror attack, Boholanos have now sent out assurances that Bohol ius still safe. (rahc/PIA-7/Bohol)
