Hero's welcome awaits boxing star Jimrex Jaca

Dumaguete City (31 January 2006) -- Though he is not as widely popular as boxing champ Manny, for residents of Sibulan and Negros Oriental, Jimrex Jaca, too, deserves a rousing hero's welcome.
Jaca, whose real name is Jimuel Divino and born in Bolocboloc, Sibulan town in Negros Oriental, landed a spot in the world boxing limelight when he floored his Mexican opponent Geronimo Hernandez in the first round of his fight.
The Jaca-Hernandez bout was the undercard for the Pacquiao-Marquez fight in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Jaca, 22, is now looking forward to a hero's welcome, which will greet him today when he comes home to his hometown Sibulan.
Sibulan Mayor Antonio Renacia said Jaca will be duly recognized for giving honor to his hometown and placing Sibulan in the limelight.
The boxing star's trainer, Rex Salud, said Jaca's record is now 25 wins, one loss, one draw and 12 by knockouts.
Jaca will see action once again in March under the Bobby Pacquiao-Carlos Hernandez rematch. (PIA
