Bullish investor outlook underscores Philippine economy's resiliency
MANILA (29 July 2005) -- "The bullish outlook of local and foreign investors only underscores the economy's resiliency amid the political noise."
Press Secretary Ignacio Bunye revealed the good news as positive developments in the business front are beginning to surface despite issues hounding President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
Bunye, who is also the Presidential Spokesman, likewise reported that the peso is stable and the Philippine stock market continues to be upbeat as fiscal reforms are on the final stretch of implementation while the nation expects the second phase of the economic reform program to carry the momentum of stability.
All this, the Palace official continued, can be attributed to President Arroyo's strong resolve backed by her new economic team focused on the job and reaping results above the din of public controversy. (PIA-MMIO)
