"SAN JOSE, Antique, Dec. 31 2010 (PIA) -- The Department of Trade and Industry undertakes monitoring of goods for the holiday season at the same time conduct inspection of designated firecracker zone.
Jocelyn P. Perez of the Department of Trade and Industry in an interview said that they are conducting monitoring of grocery/department stores to ensure unscrupulous dealers will not take advantage of greater demand of Christmas goodies this holiday season.
Their monitoring showed that goods are sold within suggested retail prices and supplies are sufficient.
Meanwhile, DTI together with PNP and other concerned agencies are monitoring the designated firecracker zone in the town of San Jose, Antique’s capital. This is to ensure that vendors do not sell prohibited firecrackers and comply with the requirements of Firearms and Explosive Unit of PNP.
So far, vendors of firecrackers comply with the requirements of the concerned agencies.
