2016 News File: It seems there is a conscious effort to make Bohol one of the prime film production locations in the country. No less Gov. Edgar M. Chatto is optimistic more filming will be done here in the province as he met with the stars of an upcoming movie doing some production work.
What is interesting, the provincial government has set up a special mechanism to entice and make it easier for the film industry to do work–much more forming a film production haven, which can be affectionately called Boholywood.
A play of words from Hollywood, the world’s film production capital, Bohol hopes to become a huge film production hub in the future by enticing film producers to do more location shoots here in the province.
