AIDS: Men Make a Difference
« on: August 21, 2017, 11:08:40 AM »
It's been nearly two decades since the first AIDS case was discovered and health leaders today, World AIDS Day, make a new commitment to carry on the fight against the disease, with a new theme ''AIDS: Men Make a Difference.''

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), men play a major role in the prevention of HIV and AIDS. Their participation in the AIDS campaign not only indicates a stronger possibility that the trend will be reversed.

"It is crucial not to isolate men as the origin of the problem but to involve them in search of a solution," Dr. Shigeru Omi, WHO regional director for the Western Pacific, pointed out.

Omi cited past experiences in some countries of the world which illustrate that men's behavior has changed after actively joining in the fight against AIDS. - MB, Dec 2000

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
