IN THE TRAIL OF A LOST FAMILY NAME "ASEQUIA"
« on: October 04, 2008, 10:55:09 AM »
my great grand mother's family name was "ASEQUIA",i cant traced her descendants and nobody knows where this family name came from.as to whether or not it was lost in antiquity or in the dawn of history.nobody knows.she was the wife of my great grand father MAYOR BERNABE AMPER.i lost my mom and dad at an early age and now im trying to trace my roots at least a century ago for me to tell my daughters where they came from and in order for them to appreciate our boholano and andahanon culture.at home i always keep the revolutionary flag of bohol and they are always asking me details of their heritage.

may i request to anyone who possibly know any ASEQUIA descendants from anda or any part of the country to please kindly inform me through this site  or to my email add.any help is greatly appreciated.thank you very much.

dr love, first of, welcome to Tubag Bohol!

I hope you will be able to find the missing link of your heritage.  Just one comment though.  I know a certain Mayor Rene Amper in Boljoon, south of Cebu.  He was a doctor.  He died few years ago but I know there were many Ampers in that town.

i know very well the late nong dr rene amper of boljoon and of course the current mayor of anda paul amper, whtat i'm looking is the descendant of the family name "ASEQUIA" and their origin because nobody from the surviving amper family clan can explain about it.my last recourse will be to dig up church records from the 1800's but still it has no guarantee because some archive has been burned down during the last war.anyway, thanks for your help.

sincerely as always,
ed-dr.love

You do?  Oh, that's nice to know.  I had so much respect on Dr. Rene Amper being the mayor then in Boljoon.  He was so supportive to our project in his municipality.  May he rest in peace.
