A 63-year-old man looking to bed an underage Queens teen is the latest perv ensnared by law enforcement efforts to clean up the Net, officials said.
Michael Gruda, 63, of New City, NY was busted Monday for trying to have sex with a woman he thought was 14, prosecutors charged yesterday.
It turned out she was just a young-looking NYPD officer.
The construction manager carried on sleazy online chats for more than a year with who he believed to be three different 14-year-old Queens girls.
But all three of his potential victims were actually the same vice detective, officials said.
Gruda finally met with one of the "teens" this week and took her to a restaurant where she again stated her "age," court papers filed by Queens prosecutors said.
He asked if she knew a secluded location they could go to to hookup and she said her nearby home was empty.
As they approached the location, the sting came to an end and Gruda ended up in handcuffs.
He is facing up to four years in prison for attempted criminal sex act and other counts if convicted. --
