The U.S. dollar remained at the upper 83 yen level early Wednesday in Tokyo.

At 9 a.m., the dollar traded at 83.76-80 against 83.80-90 yen in New York and 83.89-90 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

The euro fetched 1.2694-2695 dollars and 106.35-36 yen versus 1. 2677-2687 dollars and 106.27-37 yen in New York and 1.2792-2794 dollars and 107.31-35 yen in Tokyo late Tuesday. (PNA/Xinhua)
