One hundred five scholars of the Young Minds Academy (YMA) Season 2 signed a covenant with the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. and City Savings Bank (CSB) last December 1 at the Eduardo Aboitiz Development Studies Center (EADSC) in Lopez Jaena St. Cebu City.
As a youth development program, YMA aims to shape the youth to become responsible citizens of the community. It also aims to breed accountable-leaders and successors in the future.
The Young Minds scholarship was granted on a team basis. After tough screenings and panel interview, five teams qualified from Generation 1 (ages 21-30), ten from Generation 2 (17-20 years old), and six from Generation 3 (12-16 years old).
"Be part of the solutions. Stop putting the blame on others," said Evelyn Nacario Castro, RAFI-EADSC Executive Director, in her opening message. She added that the youth has a dynamic passion in uplifting this nation.
