It has happened before. People just weren't aware of the intensity and immensity of the damages because it wasn't like it is now. We are in the digital age and we get to have updates real-time all over.

I'm kinda annoyed with this end-of-the-world talks. Oh wait. End of the world started B.C. anyway. Bother.

people believe what they choose to believe. what i believe? nature is just taking its course. remember what we were taught in history class how everything started as big land mass and it slowly broke down later creating land bridges until different islands form? and thats how humans changed their colors, culture, adapting to the places they live, etc... well, thats probably whats happening. i don't know. am not a scientist, i believe what i choose to believe.

science explains that plate tectonics causes earthquakes and tsunamis are an almost, most of the time that is, complementary addition. the damage to the local environment , depending on the population and fauna, will vary (with those more populous suffering).

then there is the spiritual aspect that tries to make sense of it all.

my advice: Pray.

There is no harm in prayer. the benefits are endless..  :)
