I love and like snow as long as it is very dry and cold. Wonderful Glen...thanks for sharing. I could just imagine that you often times miss our own Bohol....bisan toud ug igang pero the sunshines is there if it will not really rain.  Ma-anad raman pod ta after 2 weeks.  I even miss again everything what is lovely and nice there.

I have seen the National Geographic documentary "Journey of Man". Alaska is the cross-road of mankind to the new world "America". According to studies, Eskimos and American Indians share the same Genetic Marker DNA from their Y chromosomes. They are even closely related to the Japanese. When the first tribe of man tried to cross Alaska to Canada, some of them splited and headed south to Japan.

The sun in Barrow, Alaska does not rise above the horizon from October to the end of January. That's why people in Barrow are so excited to see it. The whole town celebrated like a huge fiesta.
Believe it or not I haven't been to this place yet even though I have a free plane ticket.
I have no desire to go there it is to cold and depressing, it is winter year round known as The Top of the World City.
